Information You Provide

Information Stored Locally

All essay data — including prompts, versions, statuses, and word counts — is stored locally on your device. We do not transmit or store your essay content on any external server.

How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect solely to provide and operate the App's core features: essay tracking, version management, and document import. We do not use your information for advertising, analytics, or any purpose unrelated to the App's functionality.

Data Sharing

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with third parties. Your essay content never leaves your device.

Data Security

Your data is stored locally on your Mac using standard macOS data protection mechanisms. We recommend keeping your macOS and the App updated to benefit from the latest security protections.

Data Retention

Since all data is stored locally, you have full control over your data. You can delete any essay or version at any time within the App. Uninstalling the App removes all locally stored data.

Third-Party Services

EssayFlow uses Apple's StoreKit framework to process subscription payments. Your payment information is handled entirely by Apple and is governed by Apple's Privacy Policy.

Children's Privacy

EssayFlow is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us so we can take appropriate action.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by updating the "Last Updated" date at the top of this page. Your continued use of the App after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
